About Us

Welcome to Nurses Registry, a family owned and operated health care agency based in Lexington, Kentucky. Our company was borne from a desire to provide quality health care to home-bound patients in Central Kentucky. In 1953, Physicians Exchange was a local answering service that also provided private duty nursing services in Lexington and nine surrounding counties. Lennie and Vicki House acquired this company in 1983, renaming it Nurses Registry. By 1990, the Houses had expanded the reach of care into seven additional counties, thus creating an integrated healthcare network across 16 counties.

In October of 1990, Nurses Registry Home Infusion was established to bring IV therapy to home-bound patients. Three years later, Nurses Registry expanded its Private Duty nursing practice and created Professional Staffing Solutions, which provides skilled nurses to hospitals, medical clinics, and other health care facilities who are experiencing a staffing shortage. Recent expansions include the formation of the Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment division, the addition of a Home Medical Alert service, and in 2009, NR Home Health was launched to serve the Jacksonville/Daytona, Florida area.

The Nurses Registry Family of Companies provide a wide range of home health care services including skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapies, in-home IV therapy, homemaker aid (bathing, dressing, grooming), and private duty. Our Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment can help ease the stress of daily living with medical equipment in your home such as oxygen, wheelchairs, and bathing aides as well as provide medical supplies for diabetes, urinary conditions, and respiratory needs. We care about you and your loved ones and through our mission, "The Enhancement of life through the delivery of health care in the home by skilled professionals striving for excellence," we hope to deliver the highest quality care available.

Patients will be accepted and provided services without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, disability or sexual orientation.
